Ada Kinetic Sculpture and installation by the artist Karina Smigla-Bobinski.
«ADA» uprose in nowadays spirit of biotechnology. She is a vital performance-machine, and her paterns of lines and points, get more and more complex as the number of the audience playing-in encreases. Leaving traces which neither the artist nor visitors are able to decipher, not to mention «ADA» herself either. And still, «ADA’s» work is unmistakable potentially humane, because the only available decoding method for these signs and drawings , is the association which our brain corresponds at the most when it sleeps: the truculent jazziness of our dreams.

Cubepix Demo Test by Xavi´s Lab
“Xavi’s Lab, the Special Projects division of Glassworks Barcelona, have created some pretty cool stuff but this time they have surpassed themselves.
We are very proud to present Cubepix, a fully interactive and real-time 4D projection mapping package. It has been conceived and developed entirely by our resident Spanish tech-genius Xavi Tribo, always at the forefront of emerging technologies and wizardry.”
Jeongmoon Choi’s Drawing in Space
Working with fine thread as her medium, Berlin-based artist Jeongmoon Choi creates these arresting installations. Displayed under blacklights, Choi’s meticulously-arranged thread patterns produce illusions of light and space — a total, enveloping visual experience for gallery visitors. Galerie Laurent Mueller, where Choi’s work is now on display, has this to say about Drawing in Space:
“The thread is coloured and used to outline or redefine the architecture of the spaces the artist invests. Drawing directly into space with her hand, the artist addresses questions about our environment, as well as about aspects of lodging and the role of nature in our urban spaces.
The drawings become project or even projection of an imaginary construction that takes form in its environment starting from a line, a thread, which represents the chronological decisions of a progression in space. The transition from a plane to a volume is just as important as the comparison between interior space for living and exterior space for living.”

Paul Octavious filmed an exhibition of Ann Hamiltons: The Event of a Thread.
“the event of a thread is made of many crossings of the near at hand and the far away: it is a body crossing space, is a writer’s hand crossing a sheet of paper, is a voice crossing a room in a paper bag, is a reader crossing with a page and with another reader, is listening crossing with speaking, is an inscription crossing a transmission, is a stylus crossing a groove, is a song crossing species, is the weightlessness of suspension crossing the calling of bell or bellows, is touch being touched in return. It is a flock of birds and a field of swings in motion. It is a particular point in space at an instant of time.”
“That David DiMichele’s art should impress on such a scale is all the more surprising (and impressive) given that his Pseudo Documentation series of large-scale photographs is actually a depiction of small- scale models. The collection, depicting immense installation artworks, is no simplistic parody of installation art per se, it is much more subtle than that. More homage than parody, the images succeed on a deeper level, commenting not just on large-scale installation art as a genre, but also on the way we frequently perceive such art- as often through websites or books as actually visiting an exhibition. The fantastical, dream-like effect of a figure isolated in a cavernous hall, surrounded or even overwhelmed by art, is also somehow an unsettling one. Partly this is due to the heightened reality of DiMichele’s dioramas, where he is able to precisely manipulate light and perspective, but it is also something more. There is love here- love of art, love of drama, love of architecture- but a certain coldness too. Just as the art is so much bigger, elevated, the human figure is inversely smaller, more vulnerable and subservient to the human vision embodied in art.”

Installation “Cloud Cities” by Tomás Serraceno.
“A collaboration between creative director Anna Burns and the photographer Thomas Brown. Through the use of various mediums the pair have curated an exhibition that explores the masculine world of B-Movies and juxtaposed it with the traditional British landscape. Using the themes of said movies – girls, guns and explosives – and twisting it against a very British backdrop these two challenge not only the premise of each subject but also the use of their chosen medias. The duo created a wall of umbrellas displaying elements of the classic B-Movie and located them within three landscapes – one being the forest, then London’s docklands and finally the grounds of Suffolk Manor house.”
