Meet Tommy Carroll. He has been skating since he was ten, but has been blind since the age of two.
Ibérica skateboards sprang up in Barcelona when two design students, Raúl Arribas and Gonzalo Sánchez de Lollano, decided to build themselves a couple of decks made out of dense wood. They wanted to bring back what those decks transmitted back in the old days, and so it began.

” For our Winter R&D project, we wanted to make a skate film. Our goal was to create a series of impossible yet photo-real shots, putting us right in the middle of the action. The real trick was developing a process that would allow us to create these shots with a small team of artists (instead of the usual small army).”

The piece aims to expanding the capability and possibility of extreme sports as we understand them. Inherited from our natural instincts, sliding as children and snowboarding as adults, the focus is on one of the most influential and stimulating sports – skateboading, aiming to push the boundaries further. The piece creates a groundbreaking form of sport which previously never existed and utilises the hidden energy of our cities – stairs. STAIR ROVER – the Stairboard is a product that relies on the other product – stairs, which are found easily within the human habitat, especially in cities. This is an outstanding performance reflecting where we as residents live and what we love.

Finaly, the last chapter!
In this last chapter we travel up north to Galicia’s Costa da Morte (coast of death), name given to the area in 1920 due to its treacherous rocky shores, full of cliffs and battered by brave storms. Land of massive green landscapes, filled with legends and tradition. The Art Surf Camp in Razo receives us, and we later join A Coruña local skaters for a day cruising.
